Accessibility
The Saenger Theatre has accessible seating on the Orchestra Level in Row V, BB, and DD and in the Loges in the Balcony Level.
Accessible Parking
The Saenger Theatre does not have a parking lot adjacent to the venue. There are three on-street public ADA parking spaces near the Saenger.
A two-hour, free ADA parking spot is located directly in front of the Saenger Theatre on Palafox Place.
Two, meter-paid ADA parking spots are located on Jefferson Street on both the East and West sides of the street South of Intendencia. Use the Intendencia Street entrance if parking in these spots.
In addition to the on-street parking, there are ADA parking spaces in the Jefferson Street Parking Garage, on Jefferson just North of Romana, and in the Intendencia Street Parking Garage on Intendencia Street just west of Palafox.
Attire
There is no formal dress code for the Saenger Theatre. We usually recommend business casual attire for most performances.
Assisted Listening Devices
The Saenger Theatre provides Assisted Listening Devices for persons who need hearing enhancement. Please see any Saenger Theatre Usher to request a device. The equipment that is used at the Saenger Theatre for hearing enhancement is an FM receiver with foam-covered headphones.
Bag/Article Search
Anyone entering the Saenger Theatre is subject to a reasonable search including but not limited to a bag search, wands, and pat-downs. This includes, but is not limited to bags, purses, coats, and hats. Any bags larger than 14" X 14" X 6" are not permitted.
In the event prohibited items are revealed during a search, the guest will be asked to return to their vehicle with the item, or the item will be confiscated or disposed of properly. The Saenger Theatre will not safeguard any personal belongings or items of any type.
Cameras
For all events at the Saenger Theatre, audio and video recording are prohibited. Also, professional cameras and detachable lenses are not permitted.
For some events, photography or recording of any kind, including cell phones, is prohibited.
Specific instructions, should they vary from the policy above will be posted on the entrance doors.
Cancellations
If an event is canceled at the Saenger Theatre, refunds will be made at the original point of purchase. If made through Ticketmaster, the refund is automatic and no further action is required. Tickets purchased at a Ticketmaster outlet or the Saenger Theatre Box Office will need to be returned and the original credit card used must be presented.
If an event is rescheduled, your tickets will be honored for the new date.
Cell Phones
We ask that you turn off or silence your cell phones during performances and refrain from using them during the performance.
Changing Tables
Changing tables are located in the restrooms in the Intendencia lobby.
Concealed Weapons
Concealed weapons are not permitted in the Saenger Theatre. Off-duty sworn officers may bring their weapon inside the theatre. We ask that you check in with the Pensacola Police Officer at the Palafox entrance. They will verify your credentials and make a note of your seat location.
Concessions
Pre-packaged snacks, Coca-Cola products, mixed drinks, and assorted beer and wine are available for most performances at the Saenger Theatre. A valid ID is required to purchase alcoholic beverages. The concession stands accept credit cards, debit cards, and Apple/Google wallet. Cash is not accepted.
Doors Open
The lobby doors will open 1 hour prior to showtime, and typically the audience chamber opens 30 minutes prior to showtime.
Drop off
There are two locations for drop-off of patrons at the Saenger Theatre. Heading North on Palafox from Intendencia, there is a parking cut-out directly in front of the Saenger Theatre. Heading West on Intendencia from Jefferson, stop at the bottom of the wheelchair ramp.
Gift Certificates
The Saenger has gift certificates available in any amount. They are available for purchase at the Saenger Theatre Box Office located at 22 East Intendencia Street. Gift certificates are valid up to one year from the date of purchase.
Guest Conduct
What can I do if someone seated near me is interfering with my enjoyment of the show?
Please contact a uniformed usher – several are stationed inside the theatre throughout the performance. They can address the patron’s behavior directly, which usually controls the behavior. If they continue to disrupt your experience, we may be able to relocate you to other seating.
Infant Tickets
For most events, children who are under 2 years of age are admitted free to the Saenger Theatre as long as they sit on a ticketed adult’s lap and do not occupy a seat. There are events that require a ticket for all attendees or have age requirements to purchase a ticket. Please contact the box office for more information.
Late Arrival
Many performances have late seating policies to keep the integrity of the performance. Latecomers may be asked to wait in the lobby until an appropriate break in the performance. Latecomers may be seated in alternate seats by the House Manager and then may take their assigned seats at Intermission.
Lost and Found
If you have lost or misplaced a possession at the Saenger Theatre, please contact the box office at 850-595-3880 during normal business hours. Please note that the Saenger Theatre is not responsible for lost possessions.
Merchandise
Some performances at the Saenger Theatre have merchandise for sale to the audience in the Palafox lobby. The merchandise that is offered for sale is managed by the show and is not affiliated with the Saenger Theatre.

Re-Entry
All patrons are required to have their ticket scanned prior to leaving the building and then present their ticket to be scanned upon re-entry.
If there is a no re-entry policy for the event, signage will be placed on the exits for notification. If the patron chooses to exit the building during a no re-entry event, they will not be permitted back in the building.
Refunds / Exchanges
All ticket purchases are final. No refunds or exchanges will be given except in the case of an event cancellation.
Smoking
Pursuant to Florida State Statute § 386.202, smoking is not permitted at the Saenger Theatre.
In addition, smokeless tobacco (chewing tobacco, oral tobacco, spitting tobacco, dip, chew, and snuff) is not permitted inside the Saenger Theatre.
E-cigarettes (vapor cigarettes, e-cigs) are not permitted to be used inside the Saenger Theatre.
Patrons found violating the Saenger’s Tobacco/Smoking policy will be ejected from the venue without a refund.
The designated smoking area for the Saenger Theatre is outside the Intendencia Street entrance.
Subject to Search
All patrons and bags are subject to a security search at the Saenger Theatre. Patrons with the following items inside may be ejected from the venue:
Large bags, backpacks, waist packs, plastic bottles, cans, glass items, signs, weapons of any kind, projectiles, threatening jewelry or chains, laser pointers, flashlights, balloons, parcels or packages, or any items where the contents are not displayed, selfie sticks or poles, outside food or beverage, items challenging public safety.
Security checks are required for all events. Walk-through metal detectors, handheld wand detectors, bag checks, and pat-downs (if requested by the event) will take place at the entrances of the facility prior to most shows. Similar to procedures used at the airport, all guests will walk through a security screening area prior to gaining access to most shows at the Saenger Theatre. The Saenger Theatre recommends that patrons should plan to arrive earlier than normal to allow for this enhanced security process.
Ticketmaster Fees
Ticketmaster assesses a convenience charge for each ticket purchased for an event. This fee exists for the services Ticketmaster provides that allows patrons to purchase tickets from their own home or over the phone so they don’t have to drive to the facilities for every on sale.
Volunteering
The Saenger Theatre has a very active group of volunteer ushers. Orientations are offered usually once a year. Click here to fill out a volunteer application.
Weather
All shows at the Saenger Theatre are “Rain or Shine” events. Only in very extreme inclement weather are shows canceled or postponed. Will-Call
Will-Call is located at the Saenger Theatre Box Office at 22 East Intendencia St. during normal business hours, and on performance nights there is also a box office in the Palafox Lobby at 118 S. Palafox Place. A valid ID is required to pick up will-call tickets.
